Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI) represents a prevalent and severe cardiovascular condition that arises primarily after myocardial infarction recanalization, cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, and both stable and unstable angina pectoris. MIRI can induce malignant arrhythmias and heart failure, thereby increasing the morbidity and mortality rates associated with cardiovascular diseases. The incidence of gastrointestinal metastases from breast cancer (BC) is low. Background: Metaplastic breast carcinoma (MBC) is a rare subtype of invasive breast cancer comprising malignant epithelial and mesenchymal cells. Compared with other invasive breast cancers, MBC is not only histologically distinctly heterogeneous but also has a rapid and aggressive growth pattern, which leads to a significant risk of recurrence and mortality.

The development of efficient heterojunctions through a simple and facile method is an effective way to enhance the photocatalytic performance of bismuth-based oxide semiconductors for industrial applications. Here, the novel flower-like type II SnS/BiWO heterostructure consisting of bismuth tungstate (BiWO) nanosheets and tin bisulfide (SnS) nanoplates was successfully designed and synthesized. The novel peanut-like shaped MoSe/BiVO composites were fabricated via a facile two-step hydrothermal method and their photocatalytic activity was evaluated by the degradation of glyphosate under the visible light irradiation. The efficient transfer of photogenerated carriers and the charge separation were confirmed by photoluminescence spectra (PL), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and photocurrent. The coupling of MoSe and BiVO remarkably enhanced the photocatalytic activity.

Iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) are redox-sensitive elements that are both important chemical indicators of water quality. To study their vertical distribution characteristics in south-subtropical reservoirs during summer, Fe and Mn concentrations in the water column, as well as the physical and chemical conditions of the water, were investigated in the lacustrine zones of nine reservoirs in the eastern of Guangdong Province, in July 2016. These results showed that Fe and Mn exhibited a strong concentration gradient in deep reservoirs due to thermal stratification.
