Introduction: Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) plays a crucial role in lipid homeostasis, predominantly expressed in astrocytes and to a lesser extent in microglia within the central nervous system (CNS). While the allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's disease (AD), its precise role in AD pathogenesis remains elusive. -knockout (-ko) mice, mice expressing human , and human carriers exhibit similar deficits in lipid metabolism, cognitive and behavioral functions, and neurodegeneration.

Article Synopsis
  • Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway playing a critical role in tumor growth and therapy resistance.
  • In experiments, the dual inhibitor BEZ235 demonstrated strong antiproliferative effects in various non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines, especially when combined with cisplatin or the EGFR-TKI, afatinib.
  • The study indicates that BEZ235 can effectively suppress tumor growth by inducing cell-cycle arrest and enhancing cancer cell death, suggesting its potential as a viable treatment option alone or in combination with existing therapies.

Although many groups have been trying to prepare perovskite solar cells (PSCs) in ambient air, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) is still low. Besides, the effect of moisture on the formation of perovskite films is still controversial. In this paper, we studied the effect of moisture on the formation of perovskite films in detail, and found that moisture can speed up the crystallizing process of PbI films to form poor-quality films with large grain size and surface roughness, while, for the conversion of PbI to perovskite films, a small amount of moisture is not adverse, and even beneficial.
