Article Synopsis
  • Infection involves the persistence of bacteria and chronic gastritis, marked by infiltration of mononuclear cells in the gastric mucosa.
  • Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) has both pro-colonization and pro-inflammatory effects in this context, with higher levels found in infected gastric tissue, correlating with bacteria colonization and gastritis severity.
  • ANGPTL4 influences immune responses by interacting with specific cell receptors to modulate inflammation, suggesting that targeting its pathways could offer new treatment strategies for infection-related gastritis.

To establish a pre-test probability model of coronary heart disease (CHD) combined with cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) indexes and to compare the clinical effectiveness with Duke clinical score (DCS) and updated Diamond-Forrester model (UDFM), thus further explore the predictive value. 342 cases were used to establish the prediction model equation and another 80 cases were used to verify the effectiveness. The patients were divided into CHD group (n = 157) and non-CHD group (n = 185) according to coronary artery stenosis degree >50% or not.

Objective: To investigate the cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase gene ( 71)-204A/C single nucleotide polymorphism and its relationship with the blood lipid levels of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and normal pregnant women.

Methods: The genotype and allele frequencies of 71-204A/C gene polymorphism of 1037 normal pregnant women, the normal controls, and 627 pregnant women with GDM were examined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis. Total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and blood glucose (Glu) were measured by enzymatic assay.
