The quality profile, extraction yield, and fermentation chemistry of palm sap depend on various factors such as extraction technique, weather conditions, and preservation methods. This review aims to provide a detailed overview of palm sap extraction techniques and the methods for its preservation. The compositional analysis of palm sap, including physical and chemical parameters such as sugar content, acidity, and mineral composition, is discussed thoroughly.

These syntheses have led to the fabrication of limited number of inorganic nanoparticles. Among the reagents mentioned above, plant-based materials seem to be the best candidates, and they are suitable for large-scale biosynthesis of nanoparticles.

Adaptive radiation in certain lineages, such as Aizoaceae, enable their success in colonizing arid regions and is driven by evolutionary selection. Sesuvium verrucosum (commonly known as Western sea-purslane) is a highly salt-tolerant succulent halophyte belonging to the Aizoaceae family; thus, it provides us with the model-platform for studying plant adaptation to salt stress.

The changes in the protein and phenol concentration; the ascorbic acid, reduced glutathione, and α-tocopherol contents; and the activity of peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase were studied in the leaves during the preflowering, flowering, and postflowering stages of the date palms.

In this study, we focused on transcriptome analysis of to understand the molecular mechanisms associated with drought tolerance. Two different periods of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-induced drought stress (48 h and 72 h) were imposed on under in vitro conditions, which resulted in 18 million reads, subsequently assembled by de novo method with more than 8000 transcripts in each treatment.

Urban landscape development and overgrazing are the major threats for the erosion of this important plant species. For conserving the species, it is critical to develop an efficient in vitro regeneration protocol for rapid multiplication of large number of regenerants.

The nonenzymatic antioxidant compounds and the antioxidant enzymatic activities at preflowering, flowering, and postflowering stages of the date palm varieties were quantified. The ABA and zeatin concentrations were found to be significantly higher during the preflowering stage but gradually decreased during the flowering period and then increased after the flowering stage.
