Pulp sensibility responses following complete and partial pulpotomy in mature permanent molars with carious pulpal exposure and symptomatic irreversible pulpitis: Analysis of pooled data from three randomized clinical trials.

Aim: The objective of pulpotomy is to preserve the pulp vitality. However, the assessment of pulpal status following pulpotomy is often overlooked. This retrospective analysis aimed to compare the pulp responses to EPT (Electric pulp test) and cold test in mature permanent molars that have undergone either complete pulpotomy (CP) or partial pulpotomy (PP) for managing carious pulpal exposure and symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIP) and completed 12 months follow-up.

Pre-surgical Tumor Marking by Tattooing in Patients Offered with Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (Nact) for Advance Staged Oral Carcinomas.

We described a novel technique of marking the oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tumors before the pre-operative neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). The pre-operative NACT may shrink the tumor, making it difficult for the oncosurgeon to identify the pre-NACT tumor area to be included in the surgical resection. Difficulty lies in exact topographic replication/documentation of examination findings on superficial or mucosal surface levels, primarily due to limited surface landmarks.

Background And Purpose: The Facial Artery Musculomucosal (FAMM) flap for reconstruction of oral cavity defects is being popularized in recent years due to its obvious advantages. The aim of our study is to evaluate the cases operated at our institute for the reconstruction of oral cavity defects using FAMM flap and assess their outcomes.

Method: In this retrospective study, we included all patients in whom the FAMM flap was used to reconstruct oral cavity defects operated at our institute from January 2017 to December 2020.

Fungal Necrotizing Fasciitis of Craniofacial Region: A Diagnostic Challenge.

Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare rapidly progressive, devastating surgical emergency that results in necrosis of superficial fascia, and subcutaneous tissue. It most commonly affects the abdominal wall, extremities and perineum, while the involvement in the head and neck region is relatively rare. Here, we report a successfully treated case of necrotizing fasciitis of the craniofacial region caused by Mucor in an uncontrolled diabetic patient.
