Maternal immunization has the potential to reduce neonatal deaths caused by vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. Elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus from many countries illustrates the potential benefits of maternal immunization as a strategy to decrease neonatal mortality caused by vaccine-preventable infections. Many countries in South and Southeast Asia have high cases of neonatal deaths, which were historically attributed to vaccine-preventable infections.

Osteopathia Striata with Cranial Sclerosis: A Face-to-Radiograph-to-Gene Diagnosis.

Osteopathia striata with cranial sclerosis is an X-linked dominant bone dysplasia with osteosclerosis. It should be suspected in girls with macrocephaly, intellectual disability with unique facial dysmorphic features. We described the clinical and radiological profile of a patient with this rare disorder.

Meningococcal disease--outbreak in Delhi.

Meningococcal disease occurs both endemically and epidemically across the world. In India also meningococcal disease occurs sporadically with epidemics occurring at regular intervals. Epidemics of meningococcal disease have occurred in Delhi in the year 1935, then in the year 1966 which lasted for a year and again in 1985-86.
