Prevalence of Antiretroviral Therapy Use among HIV/AIDS Patients in a District Hospital.

Introduction: Prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection is a high priority for the government of Nepal, so the government has been scaling up Anti Retroviral Therapy centers throughout the country. The objective of our study was to find out the prevalence of people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection on Anti Retroviral Therapy service.

Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was done in Lamjung district hospital, from May 2017 till August 2017 after taking ethical clearance from the institutional review committee.

Significance of adenosine deaminase in diagnosing tuberculous pleural effusion.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a major public health problem in developing countries including Nepal. One of the common presentations of TB is pleural effusion. The diagnosis of tubercular pleural effusion can be difficult because of the low rate of detecting tubercule bacilli by direct stain and culture of pleural fluid for acid-fast bacilli (AFB).

A case of Von Recklinghausen disease.

A 67 years old man attended surgery OPD of Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital with complain of multiple painless swelling all around the body gradually increasing in numbers for last 15 years. Symptomatically some lumps were becoming large, covering skin of those swelling were sloughing with ulceration. Symptomatic lumps were excised.
