Odontogenic cysts are fluid-filled sacs arising from tooth-developing tissues within the jawbone, often causing swelling, pain, or displacement of teeth. A dentigerous cyst, specifically encapsulating the unerupted tooth's crown, can interfere with dental development by displacing teeth, causing resorption of adjacent teeth, and complicating dental or surgical interventions. This case report represents a long-term follow-up of a 35-year-old male with a large mandibular dentigerous cyst extending to the lower right border of the mandible, associated with a horizontally impacted third molar in the lower right mandibular region.

Mutations in the genomic targets of drugs have been identified as the major mechanism behind this resistance. However, high degree of resistance in some isolates towards major drugs like rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol and streptomycin can not be explained solely on the basis of mutations.
