There is ample evidence for magnetic reconnection in the solar system, but it is a nontrivial task to visualize, to determine the proper approaches and frames to study, and in turn to elucidate the physical processes at work in reconnection regions from in-situ measurements of plasma particles and electromagnetic fields. Here an overview is given of a variety of single- and multi-spacecraft data analysis techniques that are key to revealing the context of in-situ observations of magnetic reconnection in space and for detecting and analyzing the diffusion regions where ions and/or electrons are demagnetized. We focus on recent advances in the era of the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission, which has made electron-scale, multi-point measurements of magnetic reconnection in and around Earth's magnetosphere.

Microorganisms inhabiting uranium (U)-rich environments have specific physiological and biochemical coping mechanisms to deal with U toxicity, and thereby play a crucial role in the U biogeochemical cycling as well as associated heavy metals. To conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of an emergency telehealth intervention in unscheduled settings (emergency department [ED] and urgent care clinic [UCC]) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). We used the Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, Maintenance (RE-AIM) framework to conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of a novel telehealth program implemented in the VHA (Hospital System) in March 2020. In freshwater wetlands, redox interfaces characterized by circumneutral pH, steep gradients in O, and a continual supply of Fe(II) form ecological niches favorable to microaerophilic iron(II) oxidizing bacteria (FeOB) and the formation of flocs; associations of (a)biotic mineral phases, microorganisms, and (microbially-derived) organic matter. On the volcanic island of Iceland, wetlands are replenished with Fe-rich surface-, ground- and springwater. Combined with extensive drainage of lowland wetlands, which forms artificial redox gradients, accumulations of bright orange (a)biotically-derived Fe-rich flocs are common features of Icelandic wetlands.

Introduction: Atherosclerosis, inflammation, and vascular stiffness are prominent interrelated risk factors contributing to the high incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in patients with CKD. Conventional CVD management strategies in CKD largely target atherosclerotic CVD and have had a limited impact on the cardiovascular mortality in this population. To evaluate the real-world effectiveness of ADHD medications on adverse driving outcomes in teenage drivers with ADHD. We retrospectively followed 15- to 20-year-old ADHD patients with valid driver's license to compare the risk for crashes and citations between periods with and without ADHD medication use, using Florida Medicaid records linked to Department of Motor Vehicles data from 1999 to 2004. Patient-level demographic, clinical, and driver licensing characteristics as well as county-level crash and traffic statistics were adjusted in Cox models.

In Earth's near-surface environments, gold biogeochemical cycling involves gold dissolution and precipitation processes, which are partly attributed to bacteria. These biogeochemical processes as well as abrasion (via physical transport) are known to act upon gold particles, thereby resulting in particle transformation including the development of pure secondary gold and altered morphology, respectively. While previous studies have inferred gold biogeochemical cycling from gold particles obtained from natural environments, little is known about how metal contamination in an environment could impact this cycle.
