Care for patients with peripheral nerve injury is multifaceted, as traditional methods are not devoid of limitations. Although the utilization of neural conduits shows promise as a therapeutic modality for peripheral nerve injury, its efficacy as a standalone intervention is limited. Hence, there is a pressing need to investigate a composite multifunctional neural conduit as an alternative treatment for peripheral nerve injury.

Aptamer-based electrochemical sensors are frequently used as independent, surface-functionalized, passive electrodes. However, their sensitivity and detection limits become limited, particularly when the electrode area is reduced to facilitate miniaturization. A mobile phone-based microfluidic electrochemical aptamer sensing platform for 3,3',4,4'-tetrachlorobiphenyl (PCB77) detection was developed in this work.

This paper investigates the deadbeat current controllers for isolated bidirectional dual-active-bridge dc-dc converter (IBDC), including the peak current mode (PCM) and middle current mode (MCM). The controller uses an enhanced single phase shift (ESPS) modulation method by exploiting pulse width as an extra control variable in addition to phase shift ratio. The control variables for PCM controllers are derived in detail and the two different current controllers are compared.

This paper provides a new way for spatial current/field profiles for frequency-selective surface analytical approximation. It confirms that the per unit length radiation resistance of an equivalent transmission line model for line antenna has little influence on the normalized current distribution. The two-wire equivalent transmission line model (typically used for transmitting line antenna) is applied to the receiving line antenna.

This study investigated the contribution of Th17-related cytokines to the progress of experimentally induced rat periapical lesions. Periapical pathoses were induced by unsealed exposure of the pulp chamber of the lower first molars.

Objective: To investigate the timing and location of the expression of bone sialoprotein (BSP) and osteopontin (OPN) in developing dental tissues of rats.
Methods: Every three neonatal rats were sacrificed at day 1, weeks 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8. The mandibles were dissected and the first molar and the surrounding tissue were fixed, then demineralized with 15% EDTA.
