Neural tissue engineering has emerged as a promising field that aims to create functional neural tissue for therapeutic applications, drug screening, and disease modelling. It is becoming evident in the literature that this goal requires development of three-dimensional (3D) constructs that can mimic the complex microenvironment of native neural tissue, including its biochemical, mechanical, physical, and electrical properties. These 3D models can be broadly classified as self-assembled models, which include spheroids, organoids, and assembloids, and engineered models, such as those based on decellularized or polymeric scaffolds.

Objective: To provide information about hospitalization costs and length of stay (LOS) for inpatients undergoing oral cancer (OC) surgery, and to investigate the association of hospitalization costs and LOS with demographics, tumor subsite, surgery-related and hospital characteristics.

Methods: Data extracted from Chinese National Health Statistics Network Reporting System database in Hunan, China during 2017-2019 were analyzed using quantile regression models.

Results: A total of 6,420 OC patients undergoing surgery were identified.

Resveratrol (3, 4', 5-trihydroxy--stilbene, RSV), a nutraceutical, has recently attracted lots of attention because of its outstanding pharmacological potential. The effects of RSV on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) remain inconclusive, although a wealth of research has been done. The major obstacle presented was RSV's poor bioavailability due to its poor aqueous solubility, chemical instability and intestinal metabolism.
