Sandalwood (), a culturally significant and economically valuable horticultural species, is renowned for its heartwood and essential oils enriched with sesquiterpene compounds such as santalol. Despite progress in elucidating the biosynthetic pathway of these valuable metabolites, the transcriptional regulation of this process, particularly under abiotic stress conditions, remains largely unexplored. Under drought conditions, we observed a marked increase in expression, paralleled by elevated levels of santalols.

The dynamic segregation and integration of activities across brain regions enable flexible switching between local and global information processing modes. Modeling these scale dynamics within and between brain regions can uncover hidden correlates of brain structure and function in mental disorders.

The process of heartwood formation constitutes a complex biological phenomenon influenced by various factors. A thorough examination of the mechanisms underpinning heartwood formation not only enhances our understanding of the growth and developmental paradigms regulating trees but also provides essential theoretical support and practical insights for the timber industry, forestry management, and ecological conservation.

In sows, androstenone can trigger sexual behaviors through olfaction, but the underlying mechanism remains to be explored. To efficiently and accurately screen pig olfactory receptors responding to androstenone and the key structure determinant, we adapted the high-throughput RNA-seq strategy to screen the altered genes upon androstenone treatment in the olfactory epithelium of pigs, yielding 1397 downregulated genes.

In the present work, Spodoptera frugiperda was exposed to sublethal and lethal concentrations of methoxyfenozide to determine its impact on specific biological traits, metabolic enzyme activity, and the expression of detoxification enzymes. The result showed that 72-h posttreatment with LC50 and LC70 of methoxyfenozide significantly reduced the fecundity (eggs/female) of the F0 generation compared to those of the control group.

With the evolution of treatment options, there is an increasing interest in the development of long-acting injectable formulations of antiretroviral drugs. These formulations present a promising alternative to oral ART.

In recent studies, has been found to be one of the potential markers of liver diseases such as cirrhosis. Therefore, it will be important to understand what process involved in the liver for the prevention of liver diseases.

Materials And Methods: Dynamic changes of monocyte subsets from patients with septic lung injury and mice post-cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) were monitored. ST2 receptors on mice monocytes and concentrations of IL-33, IL-1β, IL-12, and IL-27 from peripheral blood or culture supernatant were detected.
In this study, we inserted a dynamic chemical reaction system that can generate CO into Janus hydrogel (JH) to develop a multidimensional preservation platform that integrates hygroscopicity, antibacterial activity, and modified atmospheric capacity. The double gel system developed using sodium alginate/trehalose at a 1:1 ratio effectively encapsulated 90% of citric acid. Furthermore, CO loss was avoided by separately embedding NaHCO/cinnamon essential oil and citric acid microcapsules into a gelatin pad to develop JH.

Available evidence suggests that dynamic functional connectivity can capture time-varying abnormalities in brain activity in resting-state cerebral functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) data and has a natural advantage in uncovering mechanisms of abnormal brain activity in schizophrenia (SZ) patients. Hence, an advanced dynamic brain network analysis model called the temporal brain category graph convolutional network (Temporal-BCGCN) was employed. Firstly, a unique dynamic brain network analysis module, DSF-BrainNet, was designed to construct dynamic synchronization features.

Ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) facilitates graft evaluation, extends preservation time and potentially enables injury repair and improvement of lung quality. We hypothesized that ventilating lungs with sevoflurane during EVLP would reduce lung injury and improve lung function.

Purpose: LncRNA HCP5 has been reported to participate in high glucose-induced pathological processes, whereas its role in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is unclear. This study aimed to explore the role of HCP5 in GDM.
Methods: This study enrolled a total of 220 pregnant women (gestational age = 1 month).
Purpose: This study aims to determine the optimal cut-off value of Ki-67 to better predict the recurrence of early low-risk endometrial cancer (EC).
Methods: Seven hundred and forty-eight patients diagnosed with low-risk EC from West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and Youden index were used to calculate the optimal cut-off value of Ki-67 expression.
Background: Toxoplasma gondii is an opportunistic protozoan that is ubiquitous in humans and animals. It can invade any human organ and cause severe diseases, including toxoplasma ophthalmopathy, meningoencephalitis, and liver necrosis. Porcine toxoplasmosis is prevalent in China.

How to reduce the occurrence of emergency cesarean section in patients with severe PAS is the key to reducing the adverse outcomes of them. This study aimed to investigate the impact of emergency cesarean section on the perioperative outcomes of pregnant women with PAS and neonates, and also aimed to explore the risk factors of emergency cesarean section in pregnant women with PAS.

Umbilical cord cysts (UCCs)-cysts located in the umbilical cord that are derived from an abnormal embryonic development process-are typically an incidental discovery during prenatal ultrasound. It can be described as either a pseudocyst or a true UCC, which results from focal edema or degeneration of Wharton jelly or the remnants of embryonic development, respectively. Due to the relative rarity of the UCC, the clinical guidance of UCCs is not yet available.

Here, we identify 13 novel GmNFR1α-associated proteins by yeast two-hybrid screening, and describe a potential interacting protein, GmBI-1α. GmBI-1α had the highest positive correlation with GmNFR1α in a co-expression network analysis, and its expression at the mRNA level in roots was enhanced by rhizobial infection.
