In vitro antioxidant and protective effects of the extract of Broussonetia papyrifera leaves on imiquimod-induced skin lesions in psoriasis-like mice.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory immune-related skin disease. According to literature reports, the leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera exhibit antioxidant, immune-enhancing and antibacterial effects. These leaves are not only used clinically for the treatment of superficial fungal infections and hepatitis, but also used in the development of health food.

Total Syntheses of Streptamidine and Klebsazolicin Using Biomimetic On-Resin Ring-Closing Amidine Formation.

Diketopiperazine (DKP) derived cyclic amidine structures widely exist in peptide natural products according to the genome mining result. The largely unknown bioactivity and mode of action are partially caused by the poor availability of the compounds via microbiological and chemical approaches. To tackle this challenge, in this work, we have developed the on-resin ring-closing amidine formation strategy to synthesize peptides containing N-terminal DKP derived cyclic amidine structure, in which the 6-exo-trig cyclization mediated by HgCl activation of thioamides was the key step.

Regulation of intestinal micro ecology between raw and salt-processed Alpinia oxyphylla on renal injury rats.

Alpinia oxyphylla Fructus is one of the traditional Chinese medicine plants in the treatment of kidney injury. In clinical practice, crude Alpinia oxyphylla Fructus (CAOF) and salt-processed Alpinia oxyphylla Fructus (SAOF) are the two commonly used drugs specificated in the prevention and treatment of diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, the intestinal micro ecology regulation between CAOF and SAOF on DN has not been reported.

Molecular defect-containing bilayer graphene exhibiting brightened luminescence.

The electronic structure of bilayer graphene can be altered by creating defects in its carbon skeleton. However, the natural defects are generally heterogeneous. On the other hand, rational bottom-up synthesis offers the possibility of building well-defined molecular cutout of defect-containing bilayer graphene, which allows defect-induced modulation with atomic precision.

Bowl inversion is a unique property of buckybowls. The polarity and assembly configuration of buckybowls are reversed after bowl inversion. So far, this unique phenomenon has been studied in solution and on surface, but not in solid state due to spatial constraint.
