- The study aimed to compare the bowel cleaning effectiveness, patient tolerance, and safety of oral sodium phosphate tablets (NaPTab) versus oral polyethylene glycol electrolyte lavage solution (PEGL) for colonoscopy preparation.!
- A total of 13 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 2,773 patients were analyzed, showing no significant difference in bowel cleansing quality between the two methods, but NaPTab led to lower nausea rates and better taste ratings.!
- Although both methods affected serum minerals after use, NaPTab caused greater decreases in serum potassium and calcium while also increasing serum phosphorus more than PEGL, ultimately demonstrating better patient tolerance for NaPTab despite similar cleansing effectiveness.!
Objectives: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of high-dose amoxicillin-proton pump inhibitor dual therapy, and to provide a new eradication regimen as a first-line option for patients with infection.
Methods: A total of 971 positive patients who received initial treatment were recruited from March to August 2020, and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group received of 20 mg esomeprazole four times daily and 750 mg amoxicillin four times daily for 14 days.
