Background: HOIP is the catalytic subunit of the E3 ligase complex (linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex), which is able to generate linear ubiquitin chains. However, the role of rare HOIP functionally deficient variants remains unclear. The pathogenic mechanism and the relationship with immune deficiency phenotypes remain to be clarified.

Endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in endothelia cells (ECs) is a critical cellular phenomenon that increases cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) and cardiac fibrosis in diabetic hearts. The purpose of this paper is to explore the molecular mechanism of miR-21 regulating EndMT and cardiac perivascular fibrosis in diabetic cardiomyopathy.

PH type I (PH1) is one of the most severe hyperoxaluria disorders, which results in urolithiasis, nephrocalcinosis, and end-stage renal disease. Here, we sought to determine the role of microRNAs in regulating AGXT to contribute to the pathogenesis of mutation-negative idiopathic oxalosis.

Pathogenic mutations of AGXT were mostly reported in Caucasian but infrequently in Asian, especially in Chinese. To update the genotypes of PH1 in the Chinese population, we collected and identified 7 Chinese probands with PH1 from 2013 to 2017 in our center, five of whom had delayed diagnosis and failed in kidney transplantation.

Conventional echocardiographic analysis cannot sensitively monitor cardiac dysfunction in type I diabetic Akita hearts, but the phenotype of heart failure is observed in molecular levels during the early stages.
Methods: Male Akita (Ins2WT/C96Y) mice were monitored with echocardiographic imaging at various ages, and then with conventional echocardiographic analysis and speckle-tracking based strain analyses.
Background: A multi-center large scale study is needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of domestic peritoneal dialysis (PD) solutions. Some researchers believe that 6 L/d is enough for adequate dialysis, but there is no multi-center prospective study on Chinese population to confirm this. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of domestic PD solution (Changfu) and its difference between 6 L and 8 L dosage.

Spontaneous renal vein thrombosis (RVT) is very rare in the absence of nephrotic syndrome. It is more common in newborns and infants. RVT should always be included in the differential diagnosis of flank pain and hematuria, and because RVT can induce acute renal injury.
