Materials And Methods: We constructed the venous model from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) tubes and three-way unions using a fresh clot of chicken blood as the venous thrombus. Eight French and 12F aspiration catheters were used to aspirate the thrombus in the right-pulmonary-artery model, 8 French and 14F aspiration catheters were used in the inferior-vena cava model, and 8 French and 10F aspiration catheters were used in the left-iliofemoral-vein model.

Background: There is a lack of information on the epidemiological data and risk factors associated with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in Chinese population. We reported the primary results from screening five-community population in Middle China for AAA.
Methods: From March 2014 to October 2015, an AAA screening program was performed in three urban and two rural communities.
The aim of the present study was to identify abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA)-associated miR-155 contributing to AAA pathology by regulating macrophage-mediated inflammation. Angiotensin II (AngII)-infused apolipoprotein E-deficient (ApoE-/-) mice and THP-1 cells model of miR-155 overexpression and deficiency were used in the experiments. The expression of miR-155 was detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).
