δ-MnO is a promising cathode material for aqueous aluminium-ion batteries (AAIBs) for its layered crystalline structure with large interlayer spacing. However, the excellent Al ion storage performance of δ-MnO cathode remains elusive due to the frustrating structural collapse during the intercalation of high ionic potential Al ion species. Here, it is discovered that introducing heterogeneous metal dopants with high bond dissociation energy when bonded to oxygen can significantly reinforce the structural stability of δ-MnO frameworks.

TiO has been a promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries because it is low-cost and environment-friendly. However, its electrochemical performance at high rates is still not acceptable. Herein, we synthesized a TiO/C nanofiber material by the electrospinning method, and introduced air plasma treatments to modify the obtained material.

Nanofibrous silver (Ag)/poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) composite membranes were obtained from a two-step preparation method. In the first step, the electrospun silver nitrate (AgNO3)/PVDF membranes were prepared and the influence of the AgNO3 content on the electrospinning process was studied. According to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results, when the electrospinning solution contained AgNO3 in the range between 3 to 7 wt.
