Background: CDK4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) have shown promising results in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive (HR+) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) when combined with endocrine therapy (ET). It is crucial to evaluate the actual effectiveness and safety of CDK4/6i in clinical practice, as well as to analyze the factors that can predict their outcomes.

Methods: Patients with HR+ MBC who received CDK4/6i-based therapy between May 2016 and May 2023 at Hunan Cancer Hospital were evaluated for progression-free survival (PFS).

For solid waste-based cementitious materials, most scholars focus their research on the hydration reaction of cementitious materials, but there is still a lack of solid waste design that comprehensively considers mechanical properties and durability. Therefore, this article focuses on exploring the mix of design and the microscopic and macroscopic properties of multi solid waste cementitious materials (MSWCMs), namely steel slag (SS), slag powder (SP), desulfurization gypsum (DG), fly ash (FA), and ordinary Portland cement (OPC). According to the orthogonal experimental results, the compressive strength of MSWCMs is optimal when the OPC content is 50% and the SS, SP, DG, and FA contents are 10%, 20%, 5%, and 15%, respectively.

Gas mixtures are comprised of numerous complex components, making the accurate identification a continuing challenge due to the significant limitations of existing detection methods. Herein, we developed a low-cost and sensitive pattern-based colorimetric sensor array chip for the identification of typical gas mixtures - Baijiu aroma. Specifically, three nanomaterials (AuNPs, MoS and ZIF-8) were prepared to adsorb gas molecules and enhance the reaction of trace gases with sensor arrays.

Background: In China, fragmented and inefficient health care systems are common while quality resources are limited. To promote an organized, efficient system, the government launched a medical consortium policy to vertically integrate health care through the collaboration of different levels of medical care. Logically, medical staff's knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) regarding the consortium are critical for its development.

Sunflowers are well-known ornamental plants, while sunflowers with red corolla are rare and the mechanisms underlying red coloration remain unclear. Here, a comprehensive analysis of metabolomics and transcriptomics on flavonoid pathway was performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the differential color formation between red sunflower Pc103 and two yellow sunflowers (Yr17 and Y35). Targeted metabolomic analysis revealed higher anthocyanin levels but lower flavonol content in Pc103 compared to the yellow cultivars.

Karyotyping is of importance for detecting chromosomal aberrations in human disease. However, chromosomes easily appear curved in microscopic images, which prevents cytogeneticists from analyzing chromosome types. To address this issue, we propose a framework for chromosome straightening, which comprises a preliminary processing algorithm and a generative model called masked conditional variational autoencoders (MC-VAE).

Background: Eribulin mesylate is a novel, nontaxane, microtubule dynamics inhibitor. In this study, we assessed the efficacy and safety of eribulin versus eribulin plus the oral small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor anlotinib in patients with locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.

Patients And Methods: In this single-center, open-label, phase II clinical study (NCT05206656) conducted in a Chinese hospital, patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative, locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer previously treated with anthracycline- or taxane-based chemotherapy were randomized (1 : 1) to receive eribulin alone or in combination with anlotinib.

Vibration procedures significantly affect the performances of cement-based materials. However, studies on the distribution of certain particles within cement-based materials are limited due to the complexity and difficulty of identifying each specific particle. This paper presents a new method for simulating and quantifying the movements of particles within cement paste through the use of "tagged materials".

There is an urgent demand to develop high-performance flexible batteries for a wide range of contemporary emerging fields, including flexible electronics, wearable sensors, and implantable medical devices. However, the inherent safety and stability issues of traditional organic liquid-based electrolytes make their application in flexible batteries unsatisfactory. Therefore, exploring gel electrolytes with superior ionic conductivity and safety is considered to be the key to the development of flexible batteries.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignant tumor and the leading cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide. Previous studies have demonstrated that patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive/hormone receptor (HR)-positive metastatic breast cancer can benefit from HER2-targeted therapy. Pyrotinib, an irreversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), has been demonstrated to be effective and safe in treating HER2-positive breast cancer patients.

In this research, iron ore tailing (IOT) is utilized as the cementitious material to develop an eco-friendly ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). The UHPC mix is obtained according to the modified Andreasen and Andersen (MAA) packing model, and the applied dosage of IOT is 10%, 20%, and 30% (by weight), respectively. The calculated packing density of different mixtures is consistent with each other.

It is critical to detect cellular secreted hydrogen peroxide (HO) in situ for clinical diagnosis, biomedical research and cancer treatment. Herein, the electrochemical determination of HO released by cancer cells grown on the surface of carbon cloth supported NiCo-DH/AuPt micro-nano arrays to elevate the capability of in situ signal collection was achieved. NiCo-DH/AuPt @CC was successfully prepared using the cobalt based metal-organic framework (Co-MOF) as a presoma after in situ etching growth onto the CC and electrodeposition of gold and platinum nanoparticles (AuPt NPs).

Aluminum-air batteries possess high theoretical specific capacities and energy densities. However, the desired application performance in the field of flexible electronics is limited by the rigid battery structure and slow kinetics of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). To address these issues, flexible, stretchable, and customizable aluminum-air batteries with a reference to honeycomb shape are composed of multilayer single battery units to achieve large scalability and start-stop control.

Plants and crops are widely suffered by shade stress in the natural communities or in the agricultural fields. The three main phytohormones auxin, gibberellins (GAs) and brassinosteroids (BRs) were found essential in shade avoidance in Arabidopsis. However, their relationship have been seldom reported in plant shade avoidance control.

To protect above-ground plant organs from excessive water loss, their surfaces are coated by waxes. The genes involved in wax formation have been investigated in detail in Arabidopsis but scarcely in crop species. Here, we aimed to isolate and characterize a CER1 enzyme responsible for formation of the very long-chain alkanes present in high concentrations especially during late stages of wheat development.
