Three new terpenoid derivatives (1,6,7)-hydrobenzosydowic acid (), (1 ,6,7)-hydrobenzosydowic acid (), and (7 ,10)-11-dehydroxy-iso-10-hydroxysydowic acid (), along with the known analogues ()-2-(1-(4-nitrobenzoyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxamido)benzoic acid () and trihydroxybutyl ester of 4-carboxydiorcinol () were isolated from the deep-sea-derived fungus DFFSCS007. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis. Compound with a nitrobenzene group was isolated from nature for the first time.

Six previously undescribed prenylated indole diketopiperazine alkaloids, talaromyines A-F (1-6), were isolated from the marine-derived fungus Talaromyces purpureogenus SCSIO 41517. Their structures including absolute configurations were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive spectroscopic data including NMR, HR-ESI-MS, and electronic circular dichroism calculations, together with chemical analysis of hydrolysates. Bacterial diseases could severely harm agricultural production. To develop new antibacterial agents, the secondary metabolites of a deep-sea-derived fungus EIODSF 020 with antibacterial activities against plant and fish pathogens were investigated by a bioassay-guided approach, which led to the isolation of 11 new peptaibiotics, simplicpeptaibs A-K (-). In this work, FeO nanoparticles anchored with dopamine molecules were developed via bioinspired iron-catechol coordination interactions, and the dopamine-modified FeO surface was linked to the matrix through strong interfacial interactions between the nanoparticles and the epoxy vitrimer. Results showed that the typical dynamic parameters of vitrimer could be readily adjusted in the epoxy vitrimer composites. These findings demonstrate that it is efficient to adjust the dynamic properties of vitrimers by introducing the metal-coordination bonds into epoxy vitrimer networks.
