Three-Dimensional Magneto-Optical Trapping of Barium Monofluoride.

As a heavy molecule, barium monofluoride (BaF) presents itself as a promising candidate for measuring permanent electric dipole moment. Here we report the realization of three-dimensional magneto-optical trapping (MOT) of BaF molecules. Through the repumping of all the vibrational states up to v=3, and rotational states up to N=3, we effectively close the transition to a leakage level lower than 10^{-5}.

The Scheduling Mode of Anesthesia Nurses Affects Postanesthesia Care Unit Efficiency: A Single-Center Retrospective Study From China.

Purpose: Anesthesia nurses play an important postsurgical role during the anesthesia recovery period, which is characterized by a high incidence of complications related to anesthesia and surgery. Strengthening staff allocation and skill management in the postanesthesia care unit (PACU) is therefore particularly important in managing length of stay. We aimed to investigate the effect of two schedule modes for anesthesia nurses on PACU efficiency.

Factors influencing concentrations of risperidone and 9-hydroxyrisperidone in psychiatric outpatients taking immediate-release formulations of risperidone.

Objectives: To analyze the factors affecting the concentrations of the active moiety of risperidone (RIS) and its active metabolite 9-hydroxyrisperidone (9-OH-RIS) in psychiatric outpatients taking immediate-release formulations.

Methods: This is a retrospective study on the therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) data regarding RIS and 9-OH-RIS in adult psychiatric outpatients. TDM data with simultaneous RIS and 9-OH-RIS monitoring from March 2018 to February 2020 and relevant medical records (including dosage, dosage form, sex, age, diagnosis, combined medication, and comorbid disease) from 399 adult psychiatric outpatients (223 males and 176 females) were included in this study.

Emerging evidence implicates the dysregulated kynurenine pathway (KP), an immune-inflammatory pathway, in the pathophysiology of mood disorders (MD), including depression and bipolar disorder characterized by a low-grade chronic pro-inflammatory state. The metabolites of the KP, an important part of the microbiota-gut-brain axis, serve as immune system modulators linking the gut microbiota (GM) with the host central nervous system. This bibliometric analysis aimed to provide a first glimpse into the KP in MD, with a focus on GM research in this field, to guide future research and promote the development of this field.

Background: The objective of this study was to investigate the serum concentrations of olanzapine in relation to age, sex, and other factors in Chinese patients aged between 10 and 90 years.

Methods: Data for 884 olanzapine patients, deposited between 2016 and 2017, were retrieved from the therapeutic drug monitoring database of the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. The effects of covariates on serum olanzapine concentration, dose-normalized concentration (C/D ratio), and normalized concentration (C/D/weight) were investigated.

Effects of Comedication and Genetic Factors on the Population Pharmacokinetics of Lamotrigine: A Prospective Analysis in Chinese Patients With Epilepsy.

Lamotrigine (LTG) is a second-generation anti-epileptic drug widely used for focal and generalized seizures in adults and children, and as a first-line medication in pregnant women and women of childbearing age. However, LTG pharmacokinetics shows high inter-individual variability, thus potentially leading to therapeutic failure or side effects in patients. The metabolic stability of these conjugates in human serum was determined by RP-HPLC.

YMR-65​, 5-(5-bromo-1-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)-3-(3-methoxyphenyl)-4, 5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carboxamide, is a potential tubulin inhibitor exhibiting good anticancer activity. In our study, we illustrated the biological activities in HepG2 cells and the pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic profiles were evaluated in murine H22 hepatoma-bearing mice. Molecular docking assay and colchicine competition assay indicated that YMR-65 could bind tightly to the colchicine binding site of tubulin.

Off-label antidepressant prescription in pediatric outpatients based on China Food and Drug Administration and Food and Drug Administration regulations: a Chinese retrospective study.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and relative risk of off-label prescription of antidepressants in Chinese pediatric outpatients according to China Food and Drug Administration (C-FDA) and USFDA regulations. Medical records of 18 459 pediatric outpatients were identified between 2013 and 2015. Patient characteristics, prevalence of off-label antidepressant prescriptions, and relative risk factors associated with off-label prescribing were analyzed.
