This study examined the impact of live bread yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) on the nutritional characteristics of Asian dried noodles. Micronutrient analysis of fermented noodles revealed a 6.9% increase in the overall amino acid content, a 37.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFSurface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has shown promising potential in cancer screening. In practical applications, Raman spectra are often affected by deviations from the spectrometer, changes in measurement environments, and anomalies in spectrum characteristic peak intensities due to improper sample storage. Previous research has overlooked the presence of outliers in categorical data, leading to significant impacts on model learning outcomes.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFRechargeable magnesium batteries (RMBs) show great potential in large-scale energy storage systems, due to Mg with high polarity leading to strong interactions within the cathode lattice, and the limited discovery of functional cathode materials with rapid kinetics of Mg diffusion and desirable cyclability retards their development. Herein, we innovatively report the confined synthesis of VS/polyaniline (VS/PANI) hybrid nanosheets. The VS/PANI hybrids with expanded interlayer spacing are successfully prepared through the exfoliation of VS and in situ polymerization between VS nanosheets and aniline.

Herein, Ni, Zn double-cation-substitution Co carbonate hydroxide (NiZnCo-CH) nanosheets arrays were established on 3D copper with controllable morphology (3DCu@NiZnCo-CH). The self-standing scalable dendritic copper offers a large surface area and promotes fast electron transport.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAvian metapneumovirus (aMPV) emerged as an important respiratory pathogen causing acute respiratory tract infection in avian species. Here we used a chicken aMPV subgroup C (aMPV/C) isolate to inoculate experimentally BALB/c mice and found that the aMPV/C can efficiently replicate and persist in the lungs of mice for at least 21 days with a peak viral load at day 6 postinoculation. Lung pathological changes were characterized by increased inflammatory cells.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAvian metapneumovirus causes acute respiratory tract infection and reductions in egg production in various avian species. We isolated and characterized an increasingly prevalent avian metapneumovirus subgroup C strain from meat-type commercial chickens with severe respiratory signs in China. Culling of infected flocks could lead to economic consequences.
