Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease associated with increased susceptibility to cancer, including bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA). This study investigates the shared molecular mechanisms and gene signatures between SLE and BLCA, shedding light on potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Methods: We compiled gene datasets related to SLE and BLCA from various databases and identified common genes.
Land use competition among economic development, food security and ecological protection posed challenges for the sustainable development in resource-based cities, especially those represented by coal resource-based cities in China. Predicting future land use change under the coupled framework of shared socioeconomic pathways and representative concentration pathways (SSP-RCPs) was a crucial step in devising sustainable development strategies. In this study, the patch-generated land use simulation (PLUS) model coupled with SSP-RCP scenarios (SSP126, SSP245, SSP585) was used to predict land use changes from year 2020 to 2060, identify key management regions for balancing the goals of ecological protection and food security, and propose corresponding measures.

Aim Of The Study: The aim of this study was to investigate the ameliorative effect of ZSP on PIC in mice.
Background: One reason patients with cancer cannot benefit from immunotherapy is the lack of immune cell infiltration in tumor tissues. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are emerging as central players in immune regulation that shapes tumor microenvironment (TME). Earlier we reported that integrin α5 was enriched in CAFs in colorectal cancer (CRC), however, its role in TME and cancer immunotherapy remains unclear.

The mechanical properties and heavy metal immobilisation efficiency of BFGs were tested, and numerical simulations were conducted to assess their environmental impact as a backfill material. The results showed that the incorporation of 5 Wt.

The incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has been rising worldwide in parallel with diabetes and metabolic syndrome. NAFLD refers to a spectrum of liver abnormalities with a variable course, ranging from nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), eventually leading to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Pregnane X receptor (PXR), a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily, plays a prominent part in the regulation of endogenous metabolic genes in NAFLD.

Clinical trials have demonstrated that the clinical efficacy of combining oral Chinese patent medicines (CPMs) with chemical drugs (CDs) is better than that of CDs alone. In this study, we performed a network meta-analysis (NMA) of RCTs to assess the efficacy of different CPMs in combination with CDs in the treatment of AIS.

In numerical simulations, neglecting the non-uniform distribution of heavy metal contamination along the depth may lead to deviations between simulation results and reality. The distribution of heavy metals in the soil layer around a non-ferrous mining area in Hezhou, Guangxi, southern China was investigated, and it was found that the standard Gaussian function could well describe the non-uniform distribution of heavy metals in the soil layer.

Guiding the future development is an urgent problem in this region. This research used image data, logical reasoning, and empirical analysis, based on social and economic statistics and land-use data, to analyze the typical characteristics and problems of the social-ecological system in the mine-agriculture-urban compound area.

Methamphetamine (METH) is a widely abused psychostimulant, whose hyper-rewarding property is believed to underlie its addictive effect, but the molecular mechanism regulating this effect remains unclear. We previously reported that decreased expression of a novel microRNA (miRNA), novel-m009C, is implicated in the regulation of METH hyperlocomotion. Here, we found that novel-m009C may be homologous to hsa-miR-604.

Soil erodibility (K factor) and saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) are essential indicators for the estimation of erosion intensity and can potentially influence soil nutrient losses, making them essential parameters for the evaluation of land reclamation quality. In this study, 132 soil samples from 22 soil profiles were collected to measure soil physicochemical properties (e.g.

However, the evaluation and management system of reconstructed soil quality suitable for the loess area needs to be improved. This paper aimed to clarify the succession law of reconstructed soil in an open-pit coal dump in the loess area on the temporal scale and to construct a succession model of reconstructed soil quality to evaluate and manage reconstructed soil.

The results show that the total Hg (HgT) contents of most soil samples (83.7%) vary from 6 to 50 μg kg, while the potential ecological risk index (EI) values of most samples (79.

Soil construction and revegetation are essential for ecological restoration in mining areas. The influence of vegetation on the horizontal and vertical distribution patterns of soil properties should be fully understood. However, most studies on reconstructed soils in mining areas only concentrate on the surface soil, without exploring the vertical variations in soil properties.

The soil profile sampling and GPR detection methods were used to acquire the data. The gravel content of surface soil was analyzed by counting the number of isolated gravel signals in GPR images.

This study will assess the clinical efficacy of TCM+WM for glomerulosclerosis and provide evidence-based medical data via meta-analysis.
Method: The MEDLINE, EMBASE, PubMed, Cochrane Central Registry of Controlled Trials, and multiple Chinese databases (Wan Fang, CNKI, and VIP) were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCT) that compared the effects of WM and TCM+WM.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the soil substitutes in land reclamation following mining activities. This study revealed different reconstructed soil materials have different effects on the chemical properties of reconstructed soil and explored the appropriate proportions of reconstructed soil materials. Using topsoil, coal gangue, fly ash, and rock and soil stripping material from the Shengli Mining Area of Inner Mongolia in China as raw materials, potting experiments were carried out according to different proportions.

The preparation of high-density tailings is a prerequisite for cemented paste backfill technology, and the flocculated fine tailings of sealed water leads to challenges in the slurry thickening of tailings. Shearing conditions can compact the micro floc structure to improve the underflow concentration. The nm-μm scales of pore characteristics and connectivity are essential for the dewatering process.

Validating the numerous gene targets of a given miRNA remains challenging despite the existence of various tools and databases that predict candidate gene-miRNA pairs. In the present study, we present a high-throughput but flexible method that applies a PCR-based application to simulate the binding of miRNAs to their gene targets.
