In this work, a novel ceramic precursor containing boron, silicon, and nitrides (named SiBCN) was synthesized from liquid ceramic precursors. Additionally, its pyrolysis, microstructure, and chemical composition were studied at 1600 °C. The results showed that the samples with different boron contents had similar structural composition, and both of the two precursors had stable amorphous SiBN structures at 1400 °C, which were mainly composed of B-N and Si-N and endowed them with excellent thermo-oxidative stability.

Interface problems and the destruction of the continuity of the oxide film in the Al matrix usually reduce the corrosion resistance of the material. In this paper, the corrosion resistance of Al matrix composites (AMCs) was improved by introducing the silicon carbide skeletons (SiC) obtained with polymer replica technology. SiC/6061Al was fabricated by infiltrating molten 6061Al alloy in the oxidized SiC using the low-pressure casting method.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a serious and frequently occurring issue in drug development. The c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway plays an important role in many diseases; hepatocyte nuclear factor-1α (HNF-1α) and glutathione S-transferase A1 (GSTA1) are important in regulating liver-specific genes expressions and affecting drug metabolism. Oltipraz is used to treat liver cirrhosis by improving liver function, and C2-ceramide is a pro-apoptotic lipid that regulates multiple signaling pathways.
