In medical image segmentation, accuracy is commonly high for tasks involving clear boundary partitioning features, as seen in the segmentation of X-ray images. However, for objects with less obvious boundary partitioning features, such as skin regions with similar color textures or CT images of adjacent organs with similar Hounsfield value ranges, segmentation accuracy significantly decreases. Inspired by the human visual system, we proposed the multi-scale detail enhanced network.

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of using graphene-zinc oxide-hydroxyapatite (GO/ZnO/nHAp) composite microspheres as bone regeneration materials by making use of the complementary advantages of nanocomposites, so as to provide reference for the clinical application of preventing and solving bacterial infection after implantation of synthetic materials. Firstly, GO/ZnO composites and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were synthesized using the hydrothermal method, and then GO/ZnO/nHAp composite microspheres were prepared via high-temperature sintering. The graphene-zinc oxide-calcium phosphate composite microspheres were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), water contact angle measurement, degradation and pH determination, and differential thermal analysis (DiamondTG/DTA).

The spatial variability of hydrogeological parameters is a significant source of uncertainty in groundwater numerical modeling and has a certain risk impact on the prediction of pollutant migration and transformation. Current research has focused on the effects of single-parameter spatial variant random fields or utilizing random sampling methods to randomly combine multiple-parameter spatial variant random fields while ignoring the correlation between parameters. This paper proposes an innovative concept of associated random variables to construct multi-parameter synergistic spatial variant random fields, ensuring both the spatial variability and inherent correlation of the parameters.

When using simulation-optimization models for optimizing the design of groundwater pumping-treatment plans for pollution, building a surrogate model for the numerical simulation model has become an effective means of overcoming the computational load of such models. However, previous studies often treated pumping time as a single optimization variable, leading to unnecessary excessive pumping. This paper considers the location, pumping rate, start time, and end time of each candidate pumping well as optimization variables, and proposes a Rosenblatt-transform-based optimal Latin hypercube sampling method for the associated random variables to ensure that the start time is less than or equal to the end time.

The aim of this research was to assess the function of microribonucleic acid (miR)-195 in the apoptosis and proliferation of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells as well as its action mechanism. The downstream target protein of miR-195 was predicted using the biological software. A quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) was implemented to examine the changes in expressions of miR-195 and its target protein toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in OSCC cell lines (TSCCA, Tca8223, Tb3.

When the simulation-optimization model to optimize the groundwater extraction-treatment schemes is used, the construction of a surrogate model for the numerical simulation model has become an effective means to overcome the large calculation load of repeatedly calling the numerical model. However, there are still some problems in using the surrogate model, such as large training sample size, low accuracy, and poor optimization results. In this paper, a conservative adaptive Kriging surrogate model (CAKSM) was proposed by coupling the Kriging surrogate model, optimal solution adaptive sampling method (OSAS), and conservative prediction idea.

In order to circumvent the water eutrophication caused by nitrogen loss in agriculture, slow-release and high-water containing fertilizers have captured much attention. Considering the unstable release of traditional slow-released fertilizers, novel strategies need to be designed to meet the steady release of fertilizers. Herein, by integrating cellulose-based hydrogel with MIL-100(Fe), a pH-sensitive Cellulose/MOFs hydrogel (CAM) with a high surface area (45.

Hydrogels have great potential in food packaging. However, stimuli-responsive preservative delivery-based hydrogels for emerging active packaging have not yet been explored. Herein, Unprecedented pH/temperature-responsive hydrogel films for emerging active climacteric fruit packaging were developed based on TEMPO-oxidized nanofibrillated cellulose (TOCNFs) from wheat straw with food-grade cationic-modified poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide-co-acrylamide) (CP).

Isothermal adsorption experiment was used to study the adsorbing process of NH4(+) -N in quartz sands under the conditions with and without humic acid; the Langmuir and Freundlich equations were used to fit the absorption result and the maximum adsorption capacity of NH4(+) -N by quarts sands was calculated. Through the soil column experiments, the concentration of NH4(+) -N, NO3(-) -N and NO2(-) -N in effluent water in the tested soil column was investigated, and the effect of humic acid on migration and transformation of NH4(+) -N in saturated aquifer was analyzed, and Pseudo-second-order Kinetics Equation and Two-step Adsorption Kinetics Rate Equation were applied to fit the kinetic processes. The results showed that both Langmuir and Freundlich models can well describe the isothermal adsorption process of NH4(+) -N on the surface of quartz sands, which means that NH4(+) -N adsorbed by the quartz sand was mainly in the form of monolayer adsorption.
