Objective: To compare the effectiveness of poly ether ether ketone (PEEK) localization marker combined with mixed reality technology versus color doppler ultrasound guidance for the vessel localization of anterolateral thigh perforator flap.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 40 patients with tissue defects after oral cancer resection who underwent repair using the anterolateral thigh perforator flap between January 2022 and June 2023. According to the different intraoperative positioning methods of the anterolateral thigh perforator flap, they were randomly divided into PEEK group [using PEEK localization marker combined with mixed reality technology based on CT angiography (CTA) data] and color ultrasound group (using color ultrasound guidance), with 20 cases in each group.

This study investigates the expressions of ADAM9, CDCP1 and t-PA in OSCC and their impacts on patient prognosis. Previous research has demonstrated the overexpression of ADAM9 and activation of plasminogen activator in OSCC, but CDCP1's role remains unexplored. While these biomolecules are known to contribute to lung cancer metastasis, their concurrent expressions in OSCC have not been thoroughly examined.

However, its implication in the pathogenesis of osteosarcoma remains unclear. The aims of this study were to determine the functional roles of the transmembrane glycoprotein, Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 9 (ADAM 9), in the phosphorylation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and AKT and in the aggressiveness of oral cancer cells. Immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting were conducted to determine expression of ADAM 9 and the levels of EGFR phosphorylated at the tyrosine 1173 residue (p-EGFR ) and AKT phosphorylated at the serine 473 residue (p-AKT ) in oral cancer tissues and in the oral cancer cell lines HN5, HN6, HN15, and HN008. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) was used to inhibit expression of ADAM9 mRNA, and thus production of ADAM9 protein, in oral cancer cells.
