Cutting tools with orderly arranged diamond grits using additive manufacturing show better sharpness and longer service life than traditional diamond tools. A retractable needle jig with vacuum negative pressure was used to absorb and place grits in an orderly arranged manner. However, needle hole wear after a long service time could not promise complete grit adsorption forever.

The integrity of the endothelial monolayer is critical for preventing life-threatening hemorrhaging and thrombosis. However, how severe endothelium-denuded injury is rapidly repaired remains unknown. Given the common biological properties between endothelial cells and circulating monocytes, we aimed to examine whether blood monocytes are involved in endothelium wound healing.

Methods: Stable COPD patients who visited our department from July 2022 to June 2023 were included. They were subjected to cough sensitivity test, spirometry, induced sputum cytology examination, questionnaire assessment such as cough symptom score, etc.
Background: China is vigorously promoting the health management of chronic diseases and exploring digital active health management. However, as most medical information systems in China have been built separately, there is poor sharing of medical information. It is difficult to achieve interconnectivity among community residents' self-testing information, community health care information, and hospital health information, and digital chronic disease management has not been widely applied in China.

We previously reported that vitamin B-6 inhibits macrophage-mediated inflammasome activation.
Objectives: We sought to examine whether the prophylactic use of vitamin B-6 prevents HFpEF.
Steel structures located in subtropical marine climates face harsh conditions such as strong sunlight and heavy rain, and they are extremely corroded. In this study, a waterborne coating with excellent corrosion resistance, hydrophobic ability, high-temperature resistance and high density was successfully prepared by using modified nanoscale titania powders and grafted polymers. The effects of three modifiers on titania nanoparticles and waterborne coatings' properties were studied independently.

Nicotine is an important risk factor for cardiac fibrosis, yet its underlying molecular mechanism remains poorly understood. This study aimed to identify its potential molecular mechanism in nicotine-induced cardiac fibrosis.

We have previously reported that statins prevent endothelial dysfunction through inhibition of microRNA-133a (miR-133a). This study is to investigate the effects and the underlying mechanisms of statins on HFpEF.

Here we investigate whether S-nitrosylation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a key regulator of the VSMC phenotype, impairs collateral circulation. In rats with collateral growth and development, nitroglycerin decreases coronary collateral blood flow (CCBF), inhibits vascular contractile phenotypic restoration, and increases myocardial infarct size, accompanied by reduced AMPK activity in the collateral zone.

Although studies have found that selenium supplementation can improve the cognitive ability of Alzheimer's patients, there is currently no research on the cognitive impairment caused by VD. This study aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of Amorphous selenium nanodots (A SeNDs) in the prevention of VD.

Perillaldehyde (PAE), a major component of the herb perilla, has been shown to ameliorate doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity, but it is unclear whether PAE exerts beneficial effects on DCM. Exploring the potential molecular mechanisms of PAE for the treatment of DCM through network pharmacology and molecular docking.

The renin-angiotensin system (RAS) is a major classic therapeutic target for cardiovascular diseases. In addition to the circulating RAS, local tissue RAS has been identified in various tissues and plays roles in tissue inflammation and tissue fibrosis. (Pro)renin receptor (PRR) was identified as a new member of RAS in 2002.

Their contractile state regulates blood flow in physiological and pathological conditions. Current methods for assessing the contractility of VSMCs are not amenable to the high-throughput screening of pharmaceutical compounds.

Its photochromic properties and stability determine the final performance of light-emitting devices. However, efficiently synthesizing perovskite with high quality and stability remains a significant challenge.

Current therapeutic approaches use antibodies that disrupt PCSK9 binding to LDLR to reduce circulating LDL-C concentrations or siRNA that reduces PCSK9 synthesis and thereby levels in circulation. Recent reports describe small molecules that, like therapeutic antibodies, interfere with PCSK9 binding to LDLR.

GTP cyclohydrolase 1 (GCH1) deficiency is critical to oxidative stress in vascular dysfunction. The aim of this study was designed to examine whether HHcy induces VCI through GCH1 S-nitrosylation, a redox-related post-translational modification of cysteine.
