Photo-stimulated Polymers have garnered significant attention for their potential applications ranging from optical memory to sensing. Herein, by changing coordination metal and the position of nitrogen atom in pyridine-based photo-stimulated ligand, we successfully synthesised a novel photo-stimulated copper-based MOF (Cu-MOF) using 9,10-bis(di(pyridine-3-yl)methylene)-9,10-dihydroanthracene as the photo-stimulated ligand. Structural analysis revealed a 3D porous architecture, offering a distinct advantage over previously reported 1D coordination polymer using similar photo-stimulated ligand.

This study aims to evaluate the trends and burden of ischemic stroke in Eastern Europe from 1990 to 2021, providing insights into epidemiological changes and informing public health strategies.
Methods: We used data from the Global Burden of Disease 2021 database to comprehensively assess regional and national ischemic stroke indicators in Eastern Europe.
Abiotic stresses impose significant constraints on crop growth, development, and yield. However, the comprehensive characterization of the maize () () gene family under stress conditions remains limited. LOXs play vital roles in plant stress responses by mediating lipid oxidation and signaling pathways.

This study aimed to analyze clinical characteristics of BSP patients and explore the relationship with plasma CAs. Clinical characteristics, clinician-rated scales, and plasma CAs were recorded, including dopamine (DA), 3-methoxytyramine (3-MT), and the 3-MT/DA ratio.

Methods: Data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database were used to extract information on mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) attributable to active smoking-related ischemic stroke.
Increasing evidence indicated that purinergic signalling involved in electroacupuncture (EA)-induced analgesia. Whether purinergic P2Y receptor contributes to EA-mediated analgesia remains unclear. Here, we report that the expression of P2Y receptor in the hindlimb region of the primary somatosensory cortex (S1HL) was significantly upregulated on Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA)-induced pain model mice, while was downregulated after EA treatment (2 Hz frequency, 1 mA intensity, and 30 min duration) at "Zusanli" (also named ST36 acupoint).

Numerous genetic diagnostic strategies have been widely applied to identify the genetic causes of prenatal abnormalities. We aimed to assess the value of simultaneous copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq) and whole exome sequencing (WES) in diagnosing fetuses with structural anomalies.

Aromatic ketone intermediate volatile organic compounds (IVOCs), as a subclass of oxygenated aromatics, were found in anthropogenic source emissions and may contribute to SOA formation. However, the SOA yields and formation pathways of aromatic ketone IVOCs remain unknown.

All these properties are anisotropic. There is considerable literature on the synthesis of large-sized monocrystalline diamonds but the synthesis of highly oriented monocrystalline diamonds is limited.

Method: We used data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database to comprehensively assess ischemic stroke indicators globally, regionally, and in 204 countries, including incidence, deaths, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), estimated annual percentage change (EAPC), and Joinpoint regression analysis.
Results: In 2021, there were a total of 7,804,449 cases of ischemic stroke globally (95% uncertainty interval = 6,719,760-8,943,692), with an age-standardized incidence rate (ASIR) of 92.
The growing awareness of the health benefits associated with probiotics has led to an increasing interest in probiotic products. To develop probiotic functional foods that deliver health benefits, it is essential to characterize both probiotic viability (the ability to survive) and vitality (the ability to remain active and effective). However, traditional probiotic assays only provide limited information about their survival state.

The neuroprotective properties of 1α, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (VitD3 or 1,25-D3) have been well established; however, the mechanism by which VitD3 treats CIRI through ERS and ferroptosis has not been examined. Hence, we developed middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R) model in SD rats to ascertain if VitD3 preconditioning mediates ERS and ferroptosis involving of p53 signaling.

The cGAS-STING pathway plays an important role in ischemia-reperfusion injury in the heart, liver, brain, and kidney, but its role and mechanisms in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury have not been systematically reviewed. Here, we outline the components of the cGAS-STING pathway and then analyze its role in autophagy, ferroptosis, cellular pyroptosis, disequilibrium of calcium homeostasis, inflammatory responses, disruption of the blood-brain barrier, microglia transformation, and complement system activation following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. We further analyze the value of cGAS-STING pathway inhibitors in the treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and conclude that the pathway can regulate cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury through multiple mechanisms.
