Objective: The study established a nomogram based on quantitative parameters of spectral computed tomography (CT) and clinical characteristics, aiming to evaluate its predictive value for preoperative lymphovascular invasion (LVI) in gastric cancer (GC).

Methods: From December 2019 to December 2021, 171 patients with pathologically confirmed GC were retrospectively collected with corresponding clinical data and spectral CT quantitative data. Patients were divided into LVI-positive and LVI-negative groups based on their pathological results.

Background: Clinically, some patients whose HBsAg becomes negative owing to antiviral therapy or spontaneously still show a low level of HBV DNA persistence in serum. T-lymphocyte subsets, cytokine levels and HBV S gene sequences were analyzed in this study.

Methods: A total of 52 HBsAg-negative and HBV DNA-positive patients(HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ patients), 52 persistently HBsAg-positive patients(HBsAg+/HBV DNA+ patients) and 16 healthy people were evaluated.

Article Synopsis
  • Computed tomography (CT) is commonly used for evaluating tibial plateau fractures (TPFs), and the study aims to predict traumatic meniscal lesions (TML) by analyzing specific 3D skeletal anatomy changes from preoperative CT scans.
  • The retrospective study included 67 patients with acute TPFs undergoing arthroscopic surgery, identifying correlations between fracture characteristics and the presence of TMLs, with a focus on factors like fragment width and subsiding distances.
  • Results indicated that certain measurements, such as sagittal fragment subsiding distance and fragment width, significantly increased the risk of TML in both unicondylar and bicondylar TPFs, revealing distinct predictive parameters for each type.

Objective: To explore the effects of Yishen Zhuanggu decoction ([Chinese characters: see text], YSZGD) on the fracture healing and function of wrist joint in osteoporotic distal radius fractures (ODRF) of elderly patients.

Methods: Ninety patients of ODRF were treated with splint external fixation and YSZGD, including 28 males and 62 females, with an average age of 63 years (ranged, 61 to 91 years). According to AO classification, all the patients were classified as type A or B1.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) with allogeneic tendon or autologous hamstring tendon under arthroscopy.

Methods: Thirty-two cases of ACL injury (3 cases compound with PCL injury) were reviewed. All the patients were divided into two groups randomly.

A anaerobic sludge granular containing mineral core with a diameter of 1mm was discovered in lab scale expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB) reactor operated only with glucose as substrate. By SEM, the granular was a core packed by compact bacterium, in which minerals distribute equally and there are caves caused by biological self-degradation. By energy spectrum and X-ray, the core is composed of Ca5 (PO4 x CO3)3 (OH).

Aim: To study the effect of arsenic trioxide (As(2)0(3)) on human hepatoma cell line BEL-7402 in vivo.

Methods: Human hepatoma cell line BEL-7402 cultured in vitro was inoculated into nude mice and arsenic trioxide, 5-Fu and saline were injected into abdominal cavity of the nude mice respectively. The volumes of tumor and general conditions of the nude mice and structural changes of the liver and kidney were observed.
