Applying Chinese medicine (CM) is an important strategy for malignant tumor treatment in China. One of the significant characteristics of CM is to treat diseases based on syndrome differentiation. For Western medicine, it is of important clinical significance to formulate guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients based on the characteristics of disease differentiation.

The eutrophic Bohai Sea receives large amount of suspended material, nutrients and contaminant from terrestrial runoff, and exchanges waters with the northern Yellow Sea through a narrow strait. This coastal region provides an ideal model system to study microbial biogeography. We performed high-throughput sequencing to investigate the distribution of bacterial taxa along spatial and environmental gradients.

The Laizhou Bay is famous for aquaculture, but has been subject to eutrophication and contamination for years. High concentrations of nutrients from the Xiaoqing River are considered as the main cause for significant eutrophication in the west of Laizhou Bay. Here we present results of the research on sedimentary microbial assemblages along this spatial gradient between riverine and marine environments by high-throughput sequencing.

Theranostic nanomedicines that integrate diagnostic and therapeutic moieties into a single nanoscale platform are playing an increasingly important role in fighting cancer. Here, a facile and green synthetic strategy for hollow CoPt alloy nanoparticles (HCPA-NPs) using plant polyphenols as assisted agents is reported for the first time. This novel strategy enables size-controlled synthesis of HCPA-NPs through the control of the molecular sizes of polyphenols.

A new theranostic platform is developed based on biocompatible poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)-Co9 Se8 nanoplates. These PAA-Co9 Se8 nanoplates are successfully utilized for photoacoustic imaging (PAI)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) dual-modal imaging. Moreover, the PAA-Co9 Se8 -DOX shows pH-responsive chemotherapy and enables the combination of photothermal therapy and chemotherapy to receive superior antitumor efficacy.

The elucidation of vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) of the halogenated silane was necessary for the production of silicon derivatives, especially for methylvinyldichlorosilane, due to the lack of the relevant reports. Isobaric VLE for the system methyldichlorosilane-dimethyldichlorosilane-benzene and isobaric VLE of the three binary systems were measured with a new pump-ebulliometer at the pressure of 101.325 kPa.
