Background: Accumulating data have suggested that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in regulating tumor cell growth. This study was designed to investigate the role of SNHG16 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

- The developed dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) had a positive rate of 8.469%, significantly higher than the 3.04% rate found using imaging techniques, and demonstrated reliability through follow-ups of positive cases.
- DIGFA proved to be a trustworthy diagnostic tool with an 89.5% positive rate among confirmed cases and was effective in areas where hydatidosis is prevalent while showing negative results in non-endemic regions.
