Article Synopsis
  • Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) poses significant health risks for premature infants, and this study investigates how platelet counts relate to the severity of NRDS.
  • The research involved 234 newborns diagnosed with NRDS and categorized them based on platelet counts and severity of their condition, finding significant differences in clinical outcomes between groups.
  • Results indicated that a higher percentage of those with severe NRDS had low platelet counts, which was linked to longer hospital stays and increased need for medical interventions like oxygen therapy.

Background: Researchers have not studied the integrity, orderly correlation, and dynamic openness of complex organisms and explored the laws of systems from a global perspective. In the context of reductionism, antidepressant development formerly focused on advanced technology and molecular details, clear targets and mechanisms, but the clinical results were often unsatisfactory.

Purpose: MDD represents an aggregate of different and highly diverse disease subtypes.

Maternal diabetes has been widely reported to adversely affect oocyte quality. Although various molecules and pathways may be involved in this process, strategies to prevent maternal diabetes-induced deterioration of oocyte quality remain unexplored. Melatonin is synthesized by the pineal gland and has been shown to have beneficial effects on oocyte quality owing to its antioxidative function.

Objectives: To study the effect of glucose metabolism disorders on the short-term prognosis in neonates with asphyxia.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of the neonates with asphyxia who were admitted to 52 hospitals in Hubei Province of China from January to December, 2018 and had blood glucose data within 12 hours after birth. Their blood glucose data at 1, 2, 6, and 12 hours after birth (with an allowable time error of 0.
