Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a predominant cause of cancer-related mortality globally, noted for its propensity towards late-stage diagnosis and scarcity of effective treatment modalities. The process of metabolic reprogramming, with a specific emphasis on lipid metabolism, is instrumental in the progression of HCC. Nevertheless, the precise mechanisms through which lipid metabolism impacts HCC and its viability as a therapeutic target have yet to be fully elucidated.

The purpose of the present study was to analyze the research trends and hotspots over the past three decades in this field.
Methods: All related publications were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection from 1994 to 2023.
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), a traditional Chinese medicine, has been widely used to treat various nervous and cardiovascular system-related conditions. Its active components, senkyunolide A (SA) and 3-n-butylphthalide (NBP), have been proven effective in treating nervous system diseases. A new method was established based on microdialysis coupled with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) to estimate the concentrations of these components in brain extracellular fluid.

Impairments in the differentiation and migratory capacity of epidermal stem cells (ESCs) are pivotal factors contributing to delayed wound healing. High mobility group box1 (HMGB1) has recently emerged as a potential target for tissue repair. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the role and molecular mechanisms of HMGB1 in ESCs during the wound-healing process.

Heat shock factors (HSFs) play a vital role in the response of plants to high-temperature stress (HTS). However, the molecular mechanism by which HSFs regulate heat tolerance in eggplants remains unclear.

This method features mild reaction conditions, simple operations, a general substrate scope, and good tolerance of functional groups. In addition, scale-up synthesis, related applications, and preliminary mechanistic explorations were also investigated.

Background: This study aimed to validate HNF1B single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with endometrial cancer risk in a Chinese Han population and explore novel SNPs. Our findings enhance the understanding of genetic components and are crucial for detection strategies and personalized medicine.
Methods: We genotyped four HNF1B SNPs in 637 patients and 667 controls using Agena MassARRAY.
A Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H α-fluoroalkenylation/annulation of β-ketosulfoxonium ylides with 2,2-difluorovinyl tosylate/oxadiazolones was realized, which afforded various -fluoroalkenylation β-ketosulfoxonium ylides with high -selectivity and diverse oxadiazolone fused-isoquinolines. This protocol featured mild conditions, broad substrate scope, and functional-group compatibility. In addition, scale-up synthesis, related applications and preliminary mechanistic explorations were also accomplished.

This study aimed to investigate whether and how lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) regulate macrophage activity and to explore the impact of microRNAs (miRNAs) in exosomes from HSCs on this process. Mice subjected to LPS or cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) were used to explore sepsis-induced liver injury. Liver injury was evaluated using HE staining, and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels were measured.

Purpose: To investigate the changes in posterior corneal elevation after small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) surgery in eyes of different myopia severity.
Methods: A total of 141 eyes of 86 patients were recruited and followed at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after SMILE surgery. The eyes were divided into four groups according to the spherical equivalent (SE): low myopia (LM, -3.

Introduction: A crucial long-term care resource for individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) in Taiwan is provided by psychiatric nursing homes. Given the higher incidence of physical illnesses and accidents among individuals with SMI, ensuring patient safety is an important aspect of quality care. However, there is limited literature exploring how the staff provides safe care for individuals with SMI.

Then, we employed weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), differential analysis, and 107 combinations of 12 machine-learning algorithms to construct and validate an artificial intelligence-derived diagnostic model (Tregs classifier) according to the average area under curve (AUC) (0.959) in two cohorts.

Here, we describe the development of a one-step, triplex real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) assay that detects and distinguishes the majority of the antigenically distinct influenza A virus hemagglutinin (HA) clades currently circulating in North American swine, including the IAV-S H1 1A.1 (α), 1A.

The potential directional alterations in functional connectivity within the primary visual cortex (V1) in RD patients remain to be elucidated.
Methods: In this study, we employed seed-based functional connectivity analysis along with Granger causality analysis to examine the directional alterations in dynamic functional connectivity (dFC) within the V1 region of patients diagnosed with RD.
Biliary tract tumors (BTC) account for about 3% of all digestive system tumors, with rising incidence and limited treatment options, particularly for advanced stages, underscoring the need for innovative therapies. This retrospective cohort study evaluated the safety and efficacy of a novel regimen combining hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy with 5-fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin (mFOLFOX-HAIC) alongside lenvatinib and programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitors (mFOLFOX-HAIC+lenvatinib+PD-1i) compared to standard regimens of gemcitabine plus cisplatin, gemcitabine plus S1, or gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin (GC/GS/GEMOX) in advanced BTC patients treated from March 2019 to November 2023. A total of 89 patients were analyzed, with 55 receiving hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy and 34 receiving the GC/GS/GEMOX regimens.
