This study aimed to evaluate the masticatory forces in patients treated for mandibular fractures. To assess the magnitude of damage to the masticatory system caused by the various mandibular fractures and the period required for their normalization. Data were recorded from the authentic and original bite force measurement device from 2015 to 2017.

- The study focused on evaluating patients with zygomatic bone fractures, which are common in accidents, by comparing their health-related quality of life (HRQoL) before and after surgery.
- A clinical study involved 60 participants, half with zygomatic fractures undergoing surgery and half from the general population serving as controls, with HRQoL measured via a questionnaire.
- Results showed that while HRQoL was lower in patients before surgery, it improved significantly one month post-op; however, some patients experienced ongoing infraorbital sensory loss for up to 6 months.
