[Surgical plastic materials with prolonged antibacterial activity].

Sulphonation and further treatment with geomycine of surgical plastic articles (arterial prostheses, surgical threads) allowed to receive materials with prolongated surface antibacterial activity. The results of experiments on 200 animals proved the modified threads and prostheses to protect the bacteriostatic effect in surgical wounds within 2 to 10 days' period. The healing of implants was uncomplicated.
