Application of narrow band imaging in the diagnosis of pharyngeal tumors.

Background: Narrow-band imaging (NBI) endoscopy is used in various tumor detection and is important in detecting early tumors.

Objective: To explore the application value of NBI endoscopy in diagnosing pharyngeal tumors.

Material And Methods: Ninety-one patients with pharyngeal masses who attended the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Gansu Provincial Hospital from January 2023 to February 2024 were selected, and NBI and white light (WL) endoscopy were applied to examine the pharynx and the relationship between the two was observed.

A case of deep neck abscess treated with a disposable VSD wound care device: Case report and review of literature.

Rationale: Vacuum sealing drainage is a novel technique for wound treatment that is characterized by adequate drainage and promotes wound healing. We report a case in which negative pressure sealing drainage was applied to treat a deep cervical abscess and achieved a good therapeutic effect.

Objective: To investigate the effects of NK4 gene on the properties and tumorigenicity in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma cell.

Methods: Here, we used the attenuated Salmonella carrying the NK4 gene to transfect the AMC-HN-8 cells and detected the expression of NK4 by the real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (q RT-PCR). The properties of NK4 gene was determined by MTT method, cell scratch test, and flow cytometry.

Background: Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is a refractory and poor prognosis tumor Present study aimed to investigate the underlying biological functions and pathways involved in the development of ATC and to identify potential hub genes and candidate biomarkers of ATC.

Materials And Methods: Bioinformatics analyses were performed to identify the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between ATC tissue samples and adjacent normal tissue samples. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks of the DEGs were constructed using Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes online tool and Cytoscape software and divided into sub-networks using the Molecular Complex Detection (MCODE) plug-in.
