- A study was conducted using 26 specimens to test the elastic and elastic-plastic buckling of cylindrical shells with cracks, assessing factors like length-diameter ratio, diameter-thickness ratio, crack length, and crack inclination on buckling loads.
- Results showed that for PMMA shells, the buckling load first decreased and then increased with length-diameter ratio; for aluminum shells, buckling loads decreased with increasing dimensions and crack length, but increased with larger crack inclinations.
