The Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Act (ODPC-Act) of the People's Republic of China came into effect on May 1, 2002. Given the scope of foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) in China and an unabated increasing trend of foreign investment, compliance with the ODPC-Act among FIEs is of particular interest, yet little is known. The extent to which an employer educates its workforce to understand the ODPC-Act may be a measure of an employer's compliance.

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of silver nitrate ointment on partial-thickness burn wounds, and observe its side-effects.
Methods: Multi-center, randomized, positive drug paralleled self-controlled trial was carried out. Eighty patients with superficial partial-thickness burns, and 40 with deep-partial thickness burns were randomized into AgNO3 group and SD-Ag group according to drug topically applied to the wounds.

Objective: To investigate the effect of lipid protein complex (LPC) from burn wound on the pulmonary vascular permeability.
Methods: Fifty-two SD rats were made into 30%III degrees TBSA burn models. Six milliliters of peripheral blood were extracted from each rat 3 days after and LPC was isolated.
