Introduction: Subtypes of the dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP) family, such as DPP4, are reportedly associated with memory impairment. DPP9 is widely distributed in cells throughout the body, including the brain. However, whether DPP9 regulates memory has not yet been elucidated.

The possibility to combine organic semiconducting materials with inorganic halide perovskites opens exciting pathways toward tuning optoelectronic properties. Exploring stable and nontoxic, double perovskites as a host for electroactive organic cations to form two-dimensional (2D) hybrid materials is an emerging opportunity to create both functional and lead-free materials for optoelectronic applications. By introducing naphthalene and pyrene moieties into Ag-Bi-I and Cu-Bi-I double perovskite lattices, intrinsic electronic challenges of double perovskites are addressed and the electronic anisotropy of 2D perovskites can be modulated.

We study locating propagation sources in complex networks. We proposed an multi-source location algorithm for different propagation dynamics by using sparse observations. Without knowing the propagation dynamics and any dynamic parameters, we can calculate node centrality based on the character that positive correlation between inform time of nodes and geodesic distance between nodes and sources.

The accuracy of time delay estimation seriously affects the accuracy of sound source localization. In order to improve the accuracy of time delay estimation under the condition of low SNR, a delay estimation optimization algorithm based on singular value decomposition and improved - weighting (--ργ weighting) is proposed. Firstly, the acoustic signal collected by the acoustic sensor array is subjected to singular value decomposition and noise reduction processing to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the signal; then, the cross-correlation operation is performed, and the cross-correlation function is processed by the --ργ weighting method to obtain the cross-power spectrum; finally, the inverse transformation is performed to obtain the generalized correlation time domain function, and the peak detection is performed to obtain the delay difference.

The emergence of halide double perovskites significantly increases the compositional space for lead-free and air-stable photovoltaic absorbers compared to halide perovskites. Nevertheless, most halide double perovskites exhibit oversized band gaps (>1.9 eV) or dipole-forbidden optical transition, which are unfavorable for efficient single-junction solar cell applications.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focused on the overall survival (OS) of patients with recurrent tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) and neck metastases, aiming to identify factors affecting their survival.
  • A total of 177 patients who had undergone salvage surgery for recurrent TSCC were analyzed, revealing a median OS of 18 months and a 23.7% incidence of contralateral neck metastases (CNMs).
  • Results indicated that patients with CNMs had significantly poorer survival rates (16.2% OS) compared to those without CNMs (52.7% OS), highlighting the impact of CNM status on prognosis.

Purpose: This study analysed the mechanical features of the extraction space closure in clear aligners through mechanical research.

Methods: A patient with four first premolars extraction was chosen as sample, and four plans with clear aligners for space closure were designed, including anterior retraction entirely, anterior retraction dispersedly, posterior movement mesially and posterior movement dispersedly. Finite element analysis was performed separately.

A carbon-oxygen-bridged ladder-type donor unit (CO5) was invented and prepared via an "intramolecular demethanolization cyclization" approach. Its single crystal structure indicates enhanced planarity compared with the carbon-bridged analogue indacenodithiophene (IDT). Owing to the stronger electron-donating capability of CO5 than IDT, CO5-based donor and acceptor materials show narrower bandgaps.
