Pancreatic cancer (PanCa) is one of the deadliest cancers, with limited therapeutic response. Various molecular oncogenic events, including dysregulation of ribosome biogenesis, are linked to the induction, progression, and metastasis of PanCa. Thus, the discovery of new therapies suppressing these oncogenic events and ribosome biogenesis could be a novel therapeutic approach for the prevention and treatment of PanCa.

The objective of this study is to compare the outcomes of reconstruction with vascularized and non-vascularized bone grafts after resection of bone tumours.
Methods: A systematic evaluation of the literature from 2012-2021 was undertaken using the online databases PubMed/Medline, Google Scholar, and Cochrane Library considering only comparative articles with specific outcomes for the restoration of the defect with vascularized and non-vascularized bone graft following the resection of bone tumours.
Background: Evidence supports high prevalence of periodontitis in patients with chronic kidney disease. Several renal factors have been proposed as possible modifiers of periodontitis pathogenesis in this population. In this cross sectional study, we investigated whether distinct microbial profiles in renal patients could explain high periodontitis prevalence.
