Phonatory Characteristics of Male Patients with Classic Essential Tremor.

Objective: Voice tremor (VT) is one of the characteristics of essential tremor (ET). This study was designed to describe the group and phonatory characteristics of classic ET patients with VT.

Methods: This retrospective case-control study compared classic ET patients with age and sex-matched controls.

Auditory Temporal Ordering in Patients with Medial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy with and without Hippocampal Sclerosis.

Context: Temporal lobe epilepsy can affect central auditory processing (CAP) skills. Auditory temporal ordering (ATO) is a CAP skill that can be evaluated using duration pattern test (DPT).

Aim: The aim is to evaluate ATO in patients with medial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) with hippocampal sclerosis (MTLE + HS) and without hippocampal sclerosis (MTLE-HS) and in their subgroups.

Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder Masquerading as Social Anxiety.

The authors report a case of a 47-year-old man who presented with treatment-resistant anxiety disorder. Behavioral observation raised clinical suspicion of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. The presence of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder was confirmed on audiological investigations.
