Head and neck cancer (HNC) is third highest prevalent cancer among Indian which constitutes about 25-30% of all the cancer in India. Further, out-of-pocket expenditure (OOPE) covers around 67% of total healthcare expenditure and direct medical cost is key factor responsible for raised OOPE in India. Thus, we aimed to quantify total direct medical cost and OOPE associated with HNC management among HNC patients using "Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka scheme" (ABArK scheme).
