Severe hyponatremia is life-threatening in hospitalized patients. We present an elderly female who developed severe hyponatremia, seizure, and loss of consciousness after taking polyethylene glycol (PEG) solution before colonoscopy. The risk of hyponatremia with PEG for colon preparation in elderly susceptible patients is high.
