Unlabelled: Little is known about the demographics and ambitions of plastic surgery trainees and if these differ between regions. This study sought opinion from current and recently graduated plastic surgery trainees to map demographics, training structure, and ambitions of plastic surgery trainees worldwide.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was designed and administered by the international trainee organization International Confederation of Societies of Plastic Surgery Trainees.

The risk for minor local complications for abdominoplasty remains high despite advances in strategies in recent years. The most common complication is the formation of seroma with reported rates ranging from 15% to 40%. The use of incisional negative-pressure wound therapy (iNPWT) on closed surgical sites has been shown to decrease the infection, dehiscence, and seroma rates.

Background: Efficient handover of patient information is fundamental for patient care and service efficiency. An audit exploring surgeons' views on written handover within a Trust's surgical specialties concluded that clear deficiencies existed. Such concerns have been echoed in the General Medical Council's guidance on safe surgical handover.
