Purpose: To describe a reproducible and easily available goat socket model for training of various oculoplastic operations, and to evaluate trainees' perception of this training model in terms of their learning progress and satisfaction.

Methods: Goat sockets including orbital rim and eye with eyelids were harvested in form of a split-head model. Ophthalmology residents underwent individual surgical training using the goat socket model, supervised by an oculoplastic attending.

Purpose: To evaluate the prognostic factors for outcome of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) in patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction.

Materials And Methods: Eighty-three consecutive cases of endoscopic DCR performed for primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction by a single surgeon were included in a retrospective, noncomparative case series. The outcome was assessed at a minimum of 5 months after surgery, being at least 3 months after removal of stents.

A 72-year-old man who had phacoemulsification with implantation of an Akreos Adapt Advanced Optics (AO) IOL in the left eye complained of blurring vision 4 months postoperatively. Multiple fine white granules were found within the IOL. Intraocular lens exchange was performed at 7 months, and the explanted IOL was sent for histopathological analysis.
