In 2005-2018, marked decreasing of morbidity of trauma, intoxications and other outcomes of impact of external causes in the Russian Federation was registered. In the Ural Federal Okrug, the rate of decreasing was the lowest and made up to 1.3%.

The article presents analysis of mortality because of injuries, poisonings and other consequences of impact of external causes in able-bodied population of the Russian Federation. In 2016, the study identified 18 subjects of the Russian Federation, where these causes of death occupied first rank, leaving behind mortality of blood circulatory system diseases. The optimization of medical care of persons injured by external causes should be implemented by three main directions: traumatological orthopedic one with organization of traumatological centers; сombustiological one with organization of burn centers; toxicological one with organization of toxicological centers.

The evaluation of medical demographic situation in Kurganskaia, Chelyabinskaia and Orenburgskaia oblasts of the Uralskii economic district was implemented. On the territory of all studied subjects dynamics of decreasing of population size is observed. The evaluation of number of divorces per 1 000 marriages established tendency of increasing of number of divorces in all mentioned oblasts.

The article presents analysis of prevalence of road traumatism in territory of region. The degree of coverage of population with specialized medical care in conditions of traumatological centers of I, II and III levels is examined The evaluation of effectiveness of these centers is given. The received data testify the high-repeatability indicators of road traumatism and corresponding mortality.

The two-dimensional (2D) electron cloud, flexible carbon-carbon bonds, chemical modifiability, and size-dependent quantum-confinement and capacitance makes graphene nanostructures (GN) a widely tunable material for electronics. Here we report the oxidation-led edge-roughening and cleavage of long graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) (150 nm wide) synthesized via nanotomy (nanoscale cutting) of graphite (with 2 nm edged diamond knife) to produce graphene quantum dots (GQD). These GQDs (~100-200 nm) selectively interfaced with polyelectrolyte microfiber (diameter = 2-20 μm) form an electrically percolating-network exhibiting a characteristic Coulomb blockade signature with a dry tunneling distance of 0.

We studied differences between phagocytic responses to nanoparticles (NPs) versus microparticles in the pulmonary region by synthesizing magnetite of different sizes and instilling suspensions of these particles intratracheally into rats' lungs. Ten and 50 nm particles caused a greater increase in cell counts of the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) than the instillation of microparticles. The response to 10 nm particles was weaker than to 50 nm ones, and the smaller NPs were more cytotoxic; both were more cytotoxic than the microparticles.

This paper describes the fabrication and characterization of photopolymerizable alkylphosphonate self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on group-III nitride substrates including GaN and Al(x)Ga(1-x)N (AlGaN; x = 0.2 and 0.25).

A comparison is made of results of conservative treatment of 123 patients with ischemia of lower extremities of atherosclerotic genesis. It was shown that the maximum efficiency of the treatment was achieved by an associated application of pharmacological drugs and HBO. An analysis of angiograms has shown that the absence of collaterals is one of the causes of the HBO being inefficient.

Twenty nine factors influencing the function of vascular prostheses were studied in 100 patients. Five parameters were found by computation allowing the formula for prognosis of early thrombotic complications to be built in patients after reconstructive operations of aorto-femoral prostheses. These parameters are: resistance of the distal vascular bed to blood flow, length and diameter of the profound femoral artery, length and diameter of the vascular prosthesis.
