Injury to Biliary Tract During Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy: Minimally Invasive Management of a Dreadful Complication.

Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is an effective minimally invasive surgical modality for the management of renal calculi. It is generally considered safe with commonly encountered complications being urinary extravasation, fever, and bleeding. Injury to the biliary tract or puncture of the gallbladder is an extremely rare but a grave complication of PCNL.

Single stage: dorsolateral onlay buccal mucosal urethroplasty for long anterior urethral strictures using perineal route.

Objective: To assess the outcome of single stage dorsolateral onlay buccal mucosal urethroplasty for long anterior urethral strictures (>4cm long) using a perineal incision.

Materials And Methods: From August 2010 to August 2013, 20 patients underwent BMG urethroplasty. The cause of stricture was Lichen sclerosis in 12 cases (60%), Instrumentation in 5 cases (25%), and unknown in 3 cases (15%).

Laparoscopic Ureterolithotomy for Giant Ureteric Calculus: A Case Report.

We present a case of a 21 year old male who presented with symptomatic right upper ureteric calculus measuring 5 cm × 1.5 cm fulfilling the criteria to be named as giant ureteric calculus. Laparoscopic right ureterolithotomy was performed and the giant ureteric calculus was retrieved.

Renal Pelvis Injury in Case of Blunt Trauma Abdomen.

Isolated renal pelvis/upper ureteric injuries are uncommon in a case of blunt abdominal trauma. These injuries are associated with fractures of transverse process of the adjoining vertebrae. We report a case of such a case in a 35 year old male involved in road traffic accident.

Tumor doubling time of renal cell carcinoma measured by CT.

Introduction: Increasing numbers of patients are now being incidentally detected with small-sized renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The natural history of small renal masses is not completely understood. Currently, there are no specific tumor markers to determine initial risk or progression to metastatic disease.

A large mullerian duct cyst presenting as an abdominal mass with ipsilateral renal agenesis: an unusual presentation.

Symptomatic Mullerian duct cysts are uncommon. A young adult male presented to us with a palpable supra-pubic mass, pain and lower urinary tract symptoms. Initial imaging modalities showed a large cystic lesion in the pelvis with a non-visualized right kidney.

Adrenal cysts: Our laparoscopic experience.

Introduction: Cystic lesions of the adrenals are rare with an incidence of 0.06% in autopsies, and the most frequently found are either the endothelial cysts or the pseudocysts. We report our series of patients presenting with adrenal cysts.

Acquired recto-urethral fistula in children: long-term follow-up.

Objective: Acquired recto-urethral fistula is an uncommon entity in children and occurs as a consequence of pelvic disorder, including trauma, iatrogenic injury, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic neoplasm and infection. We have reviewed our experience with treatment of recto-urethral fistula and focussed on the outcome of the repair.
