In addition, these clinical guidelines contain information on methods for an adequate epidemiological assessment of iodine deficiency disorders using such markers as the percentage of goiter in schoolchildren, the median urinary iodine concentration, the level of neonatal TSH, the median thyroglobulin in children and adults.

[Aged changes of dynamic component of the vertical stability in women 60-74 years old.].

The article presents characteristics of the dynamic component of postural balance and its features in elderly women with postural deficit. The assessment of the dynamic component of postural balance was performed on a computer stabilometric complex «Balance Manager» in women aged 60-74 with and without a history of falls. The most significant changes are manifested by an increase in the time of implementation and a decrease in the effectiveness of performing complex motor acts.

The real value of words: how target language linguistic modelling of foreign language teaching content shapes students' professional identity.

The paper focuses on the methods of linguistic analysis in the sphere of teaching foreign languages as a form of shaping students' identity. By putting forward the hypothesis that proper language acquisition should be based on fundamental cultural values and their adequate linguistic interpretation, we propose the pragmatic and axiological linguistic modelling as an indispensable FLT tool, develop its methodology and prove its future validity on the material of FLT discourse. The research gives a step-by-step explanation of how to implement this modelling through discourse analysis, pragmatic-communicative analysis, functional and linguoaxiological analysis.

Anti-, Non-, and Dis-: the linguistics of negative meanings about youtube.

The aim of this research paper is to reveal and explore the negative concepts, i.e. anti-values, verbalized in the professionally compiled media texts on the topic of YouTube as they shape the idea of what YouTube is and how it functions.

Shaping values with "YouTube freedoms": linguistic representation and axiological charge of the popular science IT-discourse.

Drawing on the studies of linguistics, axiology and discourse analysis, this paper contributes to the linguistic framework of value-based communication studies by establishing the algorithm of shaping values in popular science IT discourse via the set of linguo-axiological methods. The authors' aims include establishing dominating communicative strategies employed by the authors of the texts; identifying language structures and lexical means responsible for the both explicit and implicit formation and verbalization of certain values represented in the texts about YouTube; organizing the identified values into a system as presented by the authors of the texts. The paper uncovers dominant YouTube text characteristics, focusing on the instrumental role of values this type of discourse represents, and implements a complex methodological set (CDA and linguo-axiological analysis) in order to outline three basic communicative strategies that the authors of the texts employ: the information strategy; the instruction strategy; the evaluation strategy.

One-year recombinant growth hormone therapy does not improve hemoglobin state and morphology of erythrocytes in growth hormone deficient children.

An increase in growth rates of children suffering from growth hormone deficiency (GHD) subjected to recombinant growth hormone treatment (rGHT) was shown to be accompanied by acceleration of metabolic processes that may stimulate oxygen consumption in various organs and tissues. Therefore, oxygen-transporting properties of RBC should undergo considerable changes during the rGHT. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of rGHT on erythrocyte shape and hemoglobin state in GHD children.

Imbalance in the blood antioxidant system in growth hormone-deficient children before and after 1 year of recombinant growth hormone therapy.

The aim of our study was to examine the effects of 12-month therapy with recombinant growth hormone (rGH) on the blood antioxidant system in children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD). Total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of plasma was measured by FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power or ferric reducing ability of plasma); activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in erythrocytes were assessed; non-protein thiols (NT) and ceruloplasmin (CP) levels were also measured. These parameters were determined before and after 12 month of rGH treatment.

In flaviviruses and hepatitis C virus (HCV), the NS3 gene encodes the N-terminal protease (NS3pro) and the C-terminal helicase (NS3hel). In HCV, the downstream NS4A is required for the NS3pro activity and exhibits a conserved EFDEMEE motif. To identify the role of this motif, we compared the ATPase and helicase activities of NS3 alone with those of the NS3-NS4A constructs.

NS4A regulates the ATPase activity of the NS3 helicase: a novel cofactor role of the non-structural protein NS4A from West Nile virus.

Using constructs that encode the individual West Nile virus (WNV) NS3helicase (NS3hel) and NS3hel linked to the hydrophilic, N-terminal 1-50 sequence of NS4A, we demonstrated that the presence of NS4A allows NS3hel to conserve energy in the course of oligonucleotide substrate unwinding. Using NS4A mutants, we also determined that the C-terminal acidic EELPD/E motif of NS4A, which appears to be functionally similar to the acidic EFDEMEE motif of hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS4A, is essential for regulating the ATPase activity of NS3hel. We concluded that, similar to HCV NS4A, NS4A of WNV acts as a cofactor for NS3hel and allows helicase to sustain the unwinding rate of the viral RNA under conditions of ATP deficiency.

[Study of the effectiveness and safety of Rastan in children with growth hormone deficiency and Turner's syndrome].

The effectiveness and safety of the new Russian drug Rastan® (recombinant human growth hormone) were evaluated in children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) and Turner's syndrome (TS). An open-labeled clinical study of the drug was performed in 35 children with GHD or TS. The main efficacy criteria were growth changes and yearly calculated height velocity; the secondary criteria were changes in height SDS and IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 levels.
