Here we apply a more general model of a Lorentz medium with the rapidly changing density of its structural elements (oscillators) or their resonant frequency to determine the realms of applicability of the conventional temporal boundary model. We demonstrate the dependence of the continuity conditions and the energy relations at a temporal boundary on the nonstationarity mechanism and the ratio between the rate of nonstationarity and the characteristic frequencies in the system.

Results of a comparative, parallel-group randomized clinical trial of L-carnitine (Elkar, PikFarma) in young athletes (football players, walkers) are reported. Elkar increases the body adaptation to physical stress and has a pronounced therapeutic effect in athletes with stress-induced cardiomyopathy by reducing the representation of potentially dangerous arrhythmia (sinus bradycardia less than 2 - 5 centile, 2nd degree atrioventricular block type II, T-wave inversion in more than 2 leads, and/or ST segment depression) and severity of benign ECG disturbances and hemodynamic changes, and decreasing the concentration of biochemical markers of myocardial damage (troponin, natriuretic peptide, creatine phosphokinase MB fraction) and cortisol.

The authors have analyzed results of the surgical treatment of 24 out of 26 patients observed at the clinic for arterio-venous aneurysms of the lungs. It was found that the reduction of efficiency of the gas exchange function of the lungs before operation manifested itself by arterial and venous hypoxemia with an increased arterio-venous oxygen difference and pronounced decrease of blood oxygen strain. Good results of the operative treatment, rapid recovery of blood oxygenation, disappearance of hypoxemia symptoms make the surgical method the only radical one in treatment of such patients.
