A shift in the value of the analyte ions is also observed.

In the present study, we investigated the mechanism with respect to the morphology and permeability of the small intestine, focusing on PKC function, and found that shortening of the intestinal villi and a decrease in the number of tdT-mediated dUTP-biotin nick-end labeling-positive cells in the tips of the villi were observed in the jejunum of DGAT1 inhibitor-treated rats loaded with corn oil.

Cross-sectional study to identify health literacy, health behavior, and quality of life in Chofu and Komae cities in Japan: Formative research in community-based nursing practice.

The Jikei Academic Nursing Practice Center for the Community developed a community nursing practice that matched community health problems and concerns in Chofu and Komae cities, suburban areas of the Tokyo Metropolis. This study aimed to identify health problems and high-risk populations via an understanding of the practice of health behaviors, health literacy, and quality of life. This was an online, cross-sectional study conducted in September 2023.

Spontaneous histiocytic sarcoma originating from the epididymis in a CD-1 mouse.

We report a histiocytic sarcoma originating from the epididymis observed in a 110-week-old male CD-1 mouse in a carcinogenicity study. At necropsy, no lesions were observed in the epididymis. Histologically, a neoplastic lesion was observed in the cauda of the epididymis that was well demarcated from the surrounding tissues.

Theoretical study of short-range exchange interaction based on semiconductor dielectric function model toward time-dependent dielectric density functional theory.

This study explores various models of semiconductor dielectric functions, with a specific emphasis on the large wavenumber spectrum and the derivation of the screened exchange interaction. Particularly, we discuss the short-range effect of the screened exchange potential. Our investigation reveals that the short-range effect originating from the high wavenumber spectrum is contingent upon the dielectric constant of the targeted system.

Objectives: This study examined the association between cooperative work climate and business owners' attitudes toward work climate and help-seeking intentions for balancing medical treatment and job (BTJ) by occupation among employees of small companies.

Methods: In January 2024, we conducted an online survey of 1,800 full-time employees aged 20-64 years with no work restrictions due to illness working in small companies. After participants were provided a leaflet regarding BTJ, they were asked to indicate their intention to seek help in an imaginary situation where they had been diagnosed with cancer.

Preliminary Clinical Experience with a High-Definition Three Dimensional Exoscope for Spinal Surgery.

We retrospectively evaluated spinal surgeries performed using the high-definition three-dimensional exoscopic system, which became available at our institution in August 2020. Eleven patients (4 with cervical disease and 7 with lumbar disease) underwent surgery with the system. There were no surgical complications related to the system, and the results were satisfactory.
