Purpose: To report an incidence of procedure-related complications in preterm infants with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) treated with intravitreal anti-VEGFs injection in both eyes on the same day.
Design: Retrospective, multicenter case series.
Subjects: Preterm infants with ROP treated with anti-VEGF bilaterally on the same day.
Purpose: To evaluate medium and large choroidal vessel layer thickness (MCVT and LCVT, respectively) in eyes with acute and chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) in comparison with age-matched controls.
Methods: The study included 96 eyes of 96 patients with CSC, including 53 eyes with acute CSC, 43 eyes with chronic CSC, and 30 eyes of 30 age-matched normal subjects. Manual measurements of subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT), MCVT, and LCVT at subfoveal and 750 μm nasal and temporal to the fovea locations were made on enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) of the macula in all subjects using ImageJ software (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA).
We investigated the association of fluid overload and oxygenation in critically sick children, and their correlation with various outcomes (duration of ventilation, ICU stay, and mortality). We also assessed whether renal angina index (RAI) at admission can predict mortality or acute kidney injury (AKI) on day 3 after admission. Prospective study, pediatric intensive care in a tertiary hospital.

However, unlike mastectomy, women treated with BCT require follow-up imaging of the treated breast as well as the contralateral breast as part of posttreatment surveillance. Traditionally, surveillance has consisted of clinical exams and mammograms.

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography scans of both eyes of patients with CSC were taken at baseline; they were segmented and compared with enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography scans of fellow eyes without CSC as well as age-matched healthy subjects. Subfoveal choroidal area (1,500 μm) was segmented into luminal area and stromal area using image binarization.
"Gummy smile" is a major concern for a large number of patients visiting the dentist. Esthetics has now become an integral part of periodontal treatment plan. This article presents a case of a gummy smile in which esthetic correction was achieved through periodontal plastic surgical procedure wherein a 10-12 mm of partial-thickness flap was dissected apical to mucogingival junction followed by approximation of the flaps.
